Our Approach
Peacemakers Kids is built on the conviction that every child's greatest need is to know their identity in Christ. Rather than behavior management, we focus on truth formation — helping children know and agree with what God says about them, grow in relationship with Him, and learn to build others up.
The Secret Place Principle
We teach children that prayer is not a performance — it's a conversation with a loving Father. The “secret place” (Matthew 6:6) is where kids learn to seek God, listen to Holy Spirit, and grow in a personal relationship with Him. What happens with God in private prepares them to walk with Him — and build others up — wherever they go.
BUILD UP! — Bringing Something to the Table
BUILD UP! is our way of putting 1 Corinthians 14:26 into practice: when God's people come together, everyone can have something to bring. After a Peacemakers Kids teaching, children and their families can contribute a short prayer, word of encouragement, Scripture, song, drawing, or testimony that adds to what we're learning and builds others up in Christ.
Before sharing, we teach everyone to ask two simple questions: Does it fit? Does it go with what we're learning and agree with God's Word? And does it build? Does it build others up in Christ? Contributions are reviewed before being shared and displayed anonymously, so the focus stays on what was brought — not who brought it.
Supporting Without Performing
Our greatest encouragement to parents and grown-ups: you don't need to perform or have all the answers. Create space — sit with your child, watch together, pray together, and agree with what God says. You can participate, too. If something fits with the teaching and builds others up in Christ, you're welcome to bring something to the table alongside them. Holy Spirit does the deep work.
